A forward-looking project aimed at innovative micro-credential development and recognition across Europe.
Overview
Microidea project came to life with a purpose: after its completion, to have available an innovative micro-credential system linked to ISO 17024. This innovative approach will be developed and tested by 5 European countries and will have the potential to become mainstreamed improving education and training systems as well as the efficacy of policies and practices.
It also will deploy its innovative outcomes on a European scale by being able to transfer them into different demographic segments, sectors, and audience categories. This will be achieved through the launch of pilot initiatives in the tourism sector, a vital component of the participating countries’ economies. In this way, Microidea will link micro-credentials directly to the labor market.
Key Objectives
- Develop a harmonized methodology for micro-credentialing.
- Analyze skills and create tools for validation.
- Promote innovation in education, especially in sectors like tourism.
