Xenofon Liapakis

Vice President, Chief Technology & Information Officer of PeopleCert

Mr. Liapakis graduated from the University of Patras with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics.

He completed his Ph.D. at the Department of Computer Engineering & Informatics, University of Patras.

His main areas of interest include Information technology, Big data, Agile & Lean way of working, Business transformation and operational excellence, etc.

For 18 years (1990 – 2008) he was the IT Manager of the Groupama insurance company.

For 11 years (2008 – 2019) Mr. Liapakis was an executive board member of Interamerican having both the CDO & CIO roles of the Group.

Since January 2020, Mr. Liapakis is an executive board member of PeopleCert, which is the global leader in examinations and certifications, delivering millions of exams in over 200 countries having the role of Vice President of Business Technology (CTIO).

Mr. Liapakis is also serving as the Chairman of the Hellenic CIO forum and as a board member of euro.digital Association.
