George Papaloukopoulos

Data Science Manager, Citrix

George Papaloukopoulos is Data Science Manager at Citrix Systems, Inc. He has worked as Staff Data Scientist on a variety of applied Machine Learning problems including complex virtual assistants, anomaly detection in time series and transactional data, estimation of user-perceived network quality for mobile users, detection of video streaming protocol in mobile networks. Previously he worked as Staff Systems Engineer on system performance optimization and testing for carrier-grade traffic management systems. In parallel, he works on challenging research projects for enterprises in the field of Big data, Machine Learning and Analytics.

He studied in the Computer Engineering and Informatics Department at the Polytechnic School of the University of Patras, in which he also attained his master’s degree. Currently, he is a PhD candidate in the same department. Throughout his career, he published a number of academic articles and patents on data indexing and applied Machine Learning techniques. His interests lie in data analysis and applied Machine Learning.
